Draftkings Top Plays — Tuesday July 28^th

Below I will give you a few players who have extraordinary matchups today. When we’re looking at our sheets early in the morning, we’re not necessarily looking at player prices, but rather we’re just looking at players who’s matchups just jump off the page. Below are 3 guys for today believe will have a great advantage over their opposing pitcher this evening.

3B Josh Donaldson ($5,800)

Donaldson gets a great matchup tonight, and the Blue Jays as a whole will be the clear cut #1 Stack of the day as they face off against Left Hander Adam Morgan from the Phillies. So far this season, Morgan has allowed a .388 wOBA to Right Handed hitters and has given up 2.2 HR/9 innings pitched. This is a dream matchup for Donaldson as he has been a notrious Lefty Killer in his career. Dating back to 2014 he has a .434 wOBA and a .345 ISO vs Left Handed pitching. He’s hitting Lefties with a 40% hard hit contact rate, and 22% of his flyballs vs Lefties are leaving the yard. These numbers are staggering and I fully expect Dong’aldson to take one deep tonight

3B Alex Rodriguez ($5,200)

We gave you Alex Rodriguez yesterday, and he delivered a nice home run for us on his 40th birthday. Today, he gets another great matchup in a game with the Highest O/U in Vegas today. The matchup with the Rangers Martin Perez is a great one for ARod. He should be able to capitalize on Perez’ lack of strikeout ability vs RH Hitters. Perez hasn’t pitched much this year, but when he has, he’s been really bad. Against Right Handers, he’s allowing a .436 wOBA and a .412 batting average while only striking out 5% of the righties he’s faced so far. Even with a small sample size, I think we can see where this is heading for Mr Martinez tonight.

OF Jose Bautista ($5,600)

While I don’t like to give you several players from the same team, I just don’t think I can avoid the Blue Jays tonight. The matchup is just too good vs Adam Morgan. Everything we talked about with Donaldson above, applies here to Bautista. He’s a historic lefty killer vs a pitcher who is bad vs right handed hitters. Bautista boasts a .424 wOBA and .247 ISO vs Lefties dating back to 2014. If you can fit him in your lineups, he’s a great play tonight

1B Chris Davis ($4,000)

Crush Davis has been heating up with the weather recently. Over his last 10 games he’s averaging 9.4 Draftkings Points per game and he has 3 home runs in that span. Tonight he gets a solid matchup vs the Braves Julio Terehan who has really struggled to regain his 2014 form here in 2015. Terehan is really struggling this year vs Left Handed hitters, yielding a .378 wOBA and a .390 On Base %. Chris Davis hits the ball as hard as anyone in Baseball, and his 39% Hard Hit % vs righties is a good indication that he may take Terehan deep tonight.

OF Carlos Gonzalez ($4,600)

Is there anyone in Baseball hotter than Cargo right now? Whether or not you believe in “hot / cold streaks” or not, I don’t think you can deny the fact that this guy is as hot as a fire cracker. Averaging 18 Draftkings points per game over his last 10. During those games he has a ridiculous 8 home runs and 19 RBI. Today he gets a matchup vs Dallas Beeler. Who you ask? My answer is Exactly! Do you think Dallas Beeler is going to “cool off” Cargo tonight? I don’t think so. During his career Cargo has proven that when he’s hot, he’s really REALLY hot and I think you need to take advantage of this streak tonight. Against Right handed pitching since 2014, Cargo has a .366 wOBA and .249 ISO and a HR/FB rate of 22%. Plug and play tonight for me.
