NBA TNT THURSDAY – 1/7/16
I’m loving what the NBA is doing this y ear, it seems like every night of the week
we have at least 4 games to break down for DFS Purposes.
Also, I’m really loving some of these Primetime Thursday Night Matchups so far this year.
For anyone, (I’m looking at you AG Schniderman) that thinks “DFS” is bad for business
please take a look at what its done for the NBA Alone! Why else, would anyone
pay any attention to that crap fest Lakers vs Sixers game from the other day?
Anyway… my good buddy Ben has broken down some top plays for us this evening.
And he’s also posted a completely separate Article over on RotoGrinders with some more
of his favorite plays from tonight. Please head over there and check out the
entire RotoGrinders article when you’re done here!
*PG*
Jordan Clarkson $5,700 –
Even if Kobe is playing, I think he’ll be able to hit his value. He’s averaging 32 mpg with 4 RPG and 4 APG and 31 DK ppg his last 5 games.
Isaiah Thomas $7,800 –
Derrick Rose doesn’t play great defense so you can expect him to be getting stats all over the court. Only thing I’m concerned about is his hurt thumb, but he can still get to the basket but may limit his 3pt upside.
*SG*
Rodney Hood $5,800 –
He gets an up tempo game against the terrible defense of James Harden. He has been playing great lately with 38, 47 and 41 DK points in his last 3 games, playing over 30 mpg in his last 5.
Jimmy Butler $8,200 –
His price has gone way up but it’s reflective of his play. He plays almost as many minutes as any player in the league and takes as many shots. He’s in a perceived tough matchup but I think he has the size and athletic ability to overcome that.
*SF*
Kent Bazemore $6,100 –
Averaging over 31 mpg and 32 DK ppg over his last 4 games, in a great matchup. He’s a smooth lefty and is not afraid to shoot, and looks like he has more of a greenlight than Korver has.
Jae Crowder $6,400 –
Another player I have been using every chance I get, he’s just been so consistent. He has been playing great minutes and scoring a ton of points with steals and rebounds to throw in the mix.
*PF*
Amir Johnson $ 4,400 –
He’s been surprising efficient and playing almost 30 mpg over his last 3 and over 23 mpg in 33 games this season. I wouldn’t expect another big performance but he could provide value at low ownership.
Larry Nance Jr. $4,600 –
Byron Scott really likes Nance and he’s been giving some decent run. He’ll surely get over 20 minutes tonight and has the ability to score and rebound.
Paul Millsap $8,300 –
He has been a great Cash option for me this year and he plays over 35 mpg and fills up the stat sheet with rebounds assists and steals. He should have a nice rebound night tonight.
Demarcus Cousins $10,300 –
One of the most matchup proof and dominant players there are in the NBA. The only thing you need to worry about is him being fouled out or ejected. Besides that, lock and load with the big man and hope he’s not 80% owned.
*C*
Jeff Withey $5,100 – (Gobert Questionable)..
He’s averaging 30 mpg over his last 6 and 31 DK ppg with a near double double average of 10 PPG and 9 RPG.
Al Horford $6,600 –
He’s had a fairly nice floor/ceiling combo while playing 30 mpg. He gets a 76ers team who hasn’t been good against Centers this year. At such a low price and his 50+ points upside, he’s going to be a popular play for me.
Pau Gasol $8,000 –
This is as high as his price has been but he’s been hitting value with as high a floor/ceiling combo as anyone on this list with two 50 DK point games in his last 2. In a good up-tempo matchup, Pau is in one of the best spots tonight.
