Vegas Lines per Notorious’ NBA First Look
For those who do not know me, I go by Ben Jammin
I also do Live NBA Video Podcasts which I share on my Twitter, along with my famous #GODmode trend. Hit me up on there if you have any questions.
If you have been following me for a while, you know that I’ve been writing articles of Value plays. On large slates like these, it’s tough for me to write a lot with all the different available players. On larger days like there to save myself time, I’ll be writing about players that I like for the night. Much like what you may be used to with the industry average “Picks” articles but mine will still only be based on the VALUE and stats that I prefer regardless. It’s an easier way for me to get information out to you guys through the article, while still having time for videos… And my College Homework :-/
I am Partnered with @DailyRotoSharks at DailyRotoSharks.com , I will be hosting my articles and videos there. Videos will be done by @NickelPressTV at https://www.youtube.com/c/NickelPressTV
With that said, not only will I show you players I like, but WHY I like them. There has been a lot said about lineup providers flooding the market with many players using the same lineups. One thing that says to me is that there aren’t enough people who know HOW to play the game and want a quick fix. There are multiple opinions on this topic, but I would just like to point out that it is a factor when considering the ecosystem of DFS. What I have been trying to do it TEACH players how to play and what to look for and where to look. Many people may frown upon this thinking they may be losing an edge because of what I’m doing. Oh well.
I’m a leader, captain of sports teams, and a teacher. I enjoy very much teaching somebody something that helps to make their lives better. There are many people who win a ton of money in DFS but there are also many more people losing money. I love being able to share what I know in order to make people better players. Not all people want to just be spoon fed lineups when they may disagree with it or want to play someone they like. Well my opinion is that everyone should learn to play and research on their own, it makes everything more fun. This is the approach I take.
Yes I will be giving my picks here, but with reasoning behind them, I hope it helps you to understand WHY I’m using certain players. Here are some links that I use for daily research.
Even though I can’t share Fantasy Labs info anymore, I still don’t want to change the name that has become so popular.
Here’s #GODmode
(All Prices here are listed for *FANDUEL* but can be used on both sites.)
Darrell Arthur $3,700 – In his last 3 games he’s played 24, 27 and 30 minutes which is good for his price, but the minutes have been descending. Gallinari is out which should open up a few minutes since they don’t have another true SF. He’s scored 14, 19 and 27 FD points in his last 3 games and should certainly see 25 minutes tonight against a bad Nets team. Also, they are one of the later games which I love.
Jerryd Bayless $4,300 – Michael Carter-Williams is out and Bayless is one of the prime beneficiaries averaging 10% more minutes without him. He has scored 22, 31, 34 and 23 games in his last 4 games without MCW and gets a nice matchup tonight vs Rubio. He only needs 21 points to hit 5x value. Nice cheap play here. OJ mayo will probably be starting but Bayless should get decent minutes.
Zach LaVine $5,300 – Love me some Lavine. The kid is really coming into his own. I LOVE this game for fantasy points today and will basically be stacking it. He has scored 30, 31 and 34 FD points in his last 3 games in 39, 41 and 36 minutes. His usage is high and he dunks on everyone. Hop on board before he gets to 6k range. Gets a good matchup and should continue his fine performance.
Alex Len $5,300 – I enjoy taking Centers against Vuc, he’s just not a great defender. Alex Len is showing that he can handle the minutes later in the season as opposed to Tyson Chandler. He has scored 28, 29, and 46 FD points in 40, 34, and 34 minutes. He’s had 3 straight double doubles and is playing much bigger than the lanky frame he holds. He’s at the same price as Lavine and I love the upside and consistency at their prices.
Will Barton $5,900 – I also like this game for fantasy points. Will is always more of a GPP play because he doesn’t start and carries more risk than most other players. What is good though is that he’s had a decent floor of 15. He’s averaged 27 FD ppg over his last 10 games with a ceiling of 43. With Gallo out, he could have one of his random big games.
Kenneth Faried $5,900 – I like the Denver matchups a bit more than Nets but they are all decent options. He’s been and okay GPP option because he’s had good numbers in some difficult matchups, seems like he’s back to last year’s form. Besides his dud last game, he scored 36, 37 and 37 FD points in his last 3 games, averaging 28 mpg. The man known as “Manimal” had 10+ rebs in those games and is in good position for another double double.
Jabari Parker $5,900 – The only thing that concerns me here is that he’s a bit undersized (3” shorter) going against Dieng but it shouldn’t matter. He’s averaged 35 FD ppg over his last 8 games with a ceiling of 50. He’s playing great ball right now and I love this game. Jabari was my top value play when he scored 50 against HOU and I love him again tonight.
D’Angelo Russell $6,000 – He’s playing out of his mind since he got the starting position, as we all expected his play to benefit from increased minutes. He’s scored 37, 49, 31 and 37 FD point in his last 4 games with 34 mpg. He faces bad defensive guards in Atlanta and should have another decent night. The price is creeping up but it should to match his recent performance.
Luol Deng $6,000 – The reason I have Deng is because he’s been averaging 34 mpg over his last 10 games and gets to play a bad 76ers team. This is the highest his price has been and he hasn’t hit value in 4 games but he’s been so heavily involved that I don’t mind considering him for a GPP thinking people got off him. The previous 4 games before that he scored 37, 32, 47, and 50 FD points so the upside is there.
Andrew Wiggins $6,200 – I just love this game and if I expect to get points out of it, I need Wiggins. His minutes are around 35mpg and he has 40 FD point upside. He seems to be more of a GPP play because he’s usually on the lower end of his projection but he’s scored 30+ FD points in 5 of his last 10. 50% chance to his 5x value seems risky.
Jae Crowder $6,200 – I love Jae but he let me down last game, as I’m sure he did with many others. Oh well, that’s DFS, moving on. He had a dud last game which hopefully gets people off him. He’s scored 37, 31, 28, 45, in his 4 games before that and I would use him at mid 7k range, NY hasn’t been good this year and plays at a slow pace but Crowder gets Peripheral stats.
Aaron Gordon $6,400 – He’s an athletic freak and is playing a beat up front court in PHO. He has averaged 31 FD ppg over his last 10 games and is still underpriced. I like him a lot. He’s a big guy but plays like a guard and will pick up some minutes from Dipo being out.
Kyrie Irving $7,000 – Uncle Drew is a Baller and can cross up anyone on the court. He has sick handles and gets a very nice matchup vs Wall. They were both very popular on the AAU High School unit and neither play D. I like the matchup for both sides. Kyrie Has scored 32+ FD ppg in 4 of his last 5 games with 2 of the others being 40 FD points. Lock and load.
Khris Middleton $7,900 – He’s a great cash game play that I love to use and he gets a very nice matchup. He’s scored 36, 49, 40 and 49 FD points in his last 4 games and hasn’t scored less than 26 since a month ago. He plays tons of
Giannis Antetokountmpo $8,300 – He’s been boom or boom. He’s been crushing it with a floor of 30 over the last month and a ceiling of 70. He’s had 2 triple doubles and I LOVE this kid. Love the game and matchup.
Karl-Anthony Towns $8,900 – See a trend here? Love the game, He’s been playing out of his mind and have no problem loading him up today
Lebron James $9,800 – I love Lebron, and his price is back down under 10k where it deserves to be. He just doesn’t give the bone crushing effort as much anymore and I don’t blame him. They aint winning a Ship in Cleveland. He has a pretty good matchup and he’s gonna be one of the top guys on the board.
