TUESDAY 1/19/16
Short slate of games today, after a massive MLK Day yesterday.
Still some solid players across the slate and I’ll do my best to highlight a few of them for you below.
Before I get started with the article, I want to let you all know about FANTASY LABS. It is the main DFS Tool that I use every day to build my lineups. I’ve got my own custom NBA Model Built and have been having great success with their product. The tool was created by two of the best DFS Players in the world @BalesFootball and @CSURam88 along with the folks over at @SportsInsights. Name | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
Russell Westbrook | 42.67 | 49.10 | 50.40 | 52.76 | 15.25 |
Brandon Knight | 28.17 | 32.10 | 31.28 | 34.74 | 7.70 |
Jrue Holiday | 33.58 | 36.45 | 32.60 | 26.63 | 11.87 |
Russell Westbrook headlines the Point Gaurd position once again tonight, with a matchup vs the Denver Nuggets. The game between OKC and DEN has the highest O/U on the slate, currently sitting at 212. The Thunder, have the highest implied team total at 110 and Westbrook has the highest Usage % in the NBA at 34% – Lock and load Westbrook tonight in every one of your cash games.
Brandon Knight is probably your 2nd best option in Cash Games tonight, however, he’s been averaging about 6 FP Less than his Season Average in his last 3 Games. However, he’s still been fairly consistent and pretty safe for cash games.
Name | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
Khris Middleton | 37.58 | 35.10 | 36.28 | 30.20 | 7.38 |
Dwyane Wade | 34.75 | 32.10 | 31.73 | 32.19 | 10.86 |
Will Barton | 31.00 | 26.85 | 30.10 | 30.27 | 7.31 |
Khris Middleton has been on FIRE over his last 10 Games, putting up nearly 37 FP per night, and doing it very consistently also. His price still hasn’t reached a point where I’m afraid to roster him in cash games, and for some reason, he still remains somewhat under owned in GPP’s. He’ll be the 2nd player in lineup tonight, along with Westbrook.
Will Barton always has the potential to blow up for a monster game. He’s put up 30+ in 2 of his last 3 games and gets an uptempo matchup tonight vs OKC. I think he makes for a solid play, on a short slate in GPP’s but, I probably wont go there in Cash Games.
Name | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
Kevin Durant | 47.33 | 45.95 | 46.25 | 47.31 | 4.42 |
Paul George | 39.83 | 41.75 | 43.25 | 43.33 | 5.93 |
Danilo Gallinari | 30.42 | 34.65 | 33.30 | 32.51 | 9.97 |
Giannis Antetokounmpo | 47.00 | 44.50 | 36.18 | 32.53 | 12.17 |
Kevin Durant has quietly been putting up MVP Numbers yet again this Season. While Steph Curry, Draymon Green and the Warriors are getting all the attention (rightly so) KD has been steady doing his thing, averaging 26/7/5 so far this season. As I said before, this game between OKC and DEN has the highest projected total of the night, so I think KD makes a great play in all formats here.
Paul George is the other big name SF on the slate tonight. He’s been as steady as they come, outside of a minor hiccup a few weeks ago, where he failed to reach 30 FP in 3 of 4 games. Since then however, he’s put up 40+ FP in 7 of 11 games with a high of 56 vs DET. He makes for a solid contrarian play tonight, outside of Durant in GPP’s.
Name | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
Anthony Davis | 43.75 | 39.40 | 44.18 | 46.18 | 21.26 |
Chris Bosh | 32.75 | 35.20 | 36.78 | 36.15 | 4.90 |
Serge Ibaka | 34.42 | 30.00 | 26.73 | 28.21 | 7.18 |
Anthony Davis – I told myself I would never roster him again in Cash Games, and tonight, I’m sticking by that statement. Just look at his 5kStDev number of 21.26 and that will tell you all you know about The Brow. He’s extremely volatile, he could go for 25 FP just as easily as he could go for 60+. Until he becomes more of a consistent player, ala LeBron, Durant I wont be rostering him in my cash game lineups. He’s always worth a shot on a few GPP teams though, as, like I said, he could go off for 60+ on any given night.
Chris Bosh – If you’re going to pay up at PF tonight, I’d lock Bosh into your cash games. He’s been very consistent, and the Heat pretty much run the entire Offense through Bosh these days, with a 23% Usage rate. DWade still can get his from time to time, but, Bosh has moved into that #1 scoring option for the Heat on most nights. A quick glance at his numbers above will show you how consistent he is, and that’s exactly what we like to see in our Cash Lineup Players.
Name | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
Hassan Whiteside | 46.58 | 38.05 | 37.03 | 35.63 | 19.66 |
Greg Monroe | 39.50 | 40.70 | 36.68 | 35.33 | 3.23 |
Karl-Anthony Towns | 32.83 | 29.60 | 30.83 | 33.70 | 7.68 |
Hassan Whiteside – If you’re looking to build the ultimate Boom or Bust team on tonight’s short slate, you might as well roster Anthony Davis along with Hassan Whiteside. Looking at their 5gStdev numbers will tell you, these guys can drop some big numbers, but also drop some duds from time to time. Cash games, no thank you on Whiteside, GPP, sure why not, who else has more upside at Center tonight?
Karl-Anthony Towns – I like Towns over Monroe as my mid price Cash Center on this slate. Despite being a rookie, Towns has been fairly consistent all year long and he gets a dream matchup vs the Pelicans who struggle mightily to defend the Center Position. I think the athletic, young big man will have a solid game tonight.
That’s all I’ve got for tonight’s slate. I hope the insight helps you all build some sick lineups and maybe takedown a GPP Tonight! Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter as we love to interact with all of our customers and fans.
