NFL WEEK 4 Preview
The DailyRotoShark community had a great week last week, cashing all Cash Games on Fanduel and Draftkings. This week we’ll look to bring you all another winner and below, you’ll see some of the Players we’re liking this week. We may not have them all in our lineups, but, feel free to use our lineups as a Foundation, and build from there. If you haven’t yet subscribed for our Weekly NFL Package, follow this link and get signed up. Lineups will be released soon along with a nice NFL Cheat Sheet for this Weekend’s Games
QB
Aaron Rodgers
He’s pretty much a lock for Everyone’s Cash Game lineup this weekend. We all saw what A-A-RON did on Monday Night, and while we can’t expect 5 TD from even the very best, he should have another 300+ yard game with at least 2 TD’s vs the 49’ers, who just got blitzed by the Cardinals 47-7.
Tyrod Taylor
Mr Taylor is quickly becoming a staple of many of my Cash Game lineups early this Season. He’s not spectacular, and you’re not going to get the 350 yard and 4 TD performance like, Rodgers, Luck or Brady, but, what you will get is a solid floor. With Taylor rushing for close to 35 or 40 yards every game, you’re pretty much starting your cash game with 1 passing touchdown (4 points) and then building from there. I expect Taylor to continue to play well and put up solid numbers as Rex wont ask him to do too much.
Cam Newton
Breakout game last week with over 300 passing yards and 3 total touchdowns. With Cam you get that same nice floor I mentioned with Taylor, because of his rushing ability. The rushing ability can’t be overstated as it gives you a tremendous floor to start with at the QB Position. Cam doesn’t even need to throw for 200+ yards to have a solid fantasy day, as was the case in Week 2. If you’re not paying all the way up for Rodgers, I think Cam makes a great Cash Game play this week.
Andy Dalton
The Bengals Offense exploded last week and Dalton threw for 383 yards and 3 Touchdowns.
This week, he gets a matchup vs the Defense that has given up the most Fantasy Points to Opposing QB’s through the first 3 weeks.
Derek Carr (GPP)
In 2014 the Cleveland Browns had 2 picks in the 1st round of the Draft, #8 (Justin Gilbert) and #22 (Johnny Manziel) while I don’t believe my Brownies should have taken Carr at #8, I do believe he would have a “better” pick than Manziel at #22. Welp, the Browns didn’t do the smart thing (again) and they felt the wrath of Carr last week. It looks like Carr is starting to come into his own, and with Amari Cooper (who looks like a stud) on his side, he’s got big game upside pretty much every week. Great GPP Plays vs the Bears.
HB
Latavious Murray
Maybe I’m a little bias this week, as I just got a 1st hand look at this Raiders Offense vs my Browns last week. As a Browns Season ticket holder (sec118 row20) I had an up close and personal look at just how good these young Raiders “could be”. When they are firing on all cylinders they’ve got some great young playmakers all over the Offensive side of the ball. Murray ran wild last week, and he should have similar success this Week vs the Bears.
Danny Woodhead
On full PPR sites like Draftkings, I think Woodhead is more valuable. The Browns are really struggling on Defense right now and have given up over 150 yards rushing in the first 3 Games vs the Jets, Titans and Raiders.
Jamaal Charles
Only 49 yards rushing last week vs Green Bay, but, 3 Touchdowns helped his fantasy owners out allot. This week wont be any easier vs a tough Cincinnati Defense on the road, but, elite players like Charles are always in play when we’re talking GPP format. He could go off on any team, on any day. He’s worth the risk in some of your GPP lineups this weekend.
Matt Forte (GPP)
Coming off a rough week vs the Seahawks, who were on a mission last week, Forte gets a juice matchup with the Raiders this week. It will not be easy, as Forte is pretty much the only weapon left on Offense for the Bears. If Jay Cutler can’t play again, Forte will be asked to carry the load. As of writing this article, Forte is seeing nearly 50% of the Offensive touches for the Bears and, as I said, with Cutler out, I think you can safely assume that he’ll be the main cog in the Bears Offense going forward.
Melvin Gordon (GPP
See Danny Woodhead above. The Browns simply can’t stop the run, as they rank dead last in the NFL in that category. I think the Chargers will get up early, and ride Gordon to the finish line in this one. I’m calling for Melvin’s first 100+ yard game this weekend vs my Brownies.
Devonta Freeman (GPP)
Last weeks monster performance came out of nowhere. This week his ownership level will surely be through the roof, so, a GPP Fade might be in order for me. If we know he’s going to be 20% to 30% owned, because of people chasing last weeks points, its an easy fade for me. I’m not saying he wont duplicate last weeks performance, as he will once again be the main bellcow back for the Falcons if Tevin Coleman is out, but, I am saying his ownership % is going to keep me off him.

WR
AJ Green
If you had AJ Green and Andy Dalton last week, you probably won 98% of your Cash Games. On Draftkings the two of them combined for 83.02 fantasy points and were in a ton of GPP Winning lineups. This week, I’m going back to the well vs a weak Kansas City secondary.
DeAndre Hopkins
Absolute target monster so far early in the Season. He’s getting anywhere between 10 and 15 targets every single week so far, and I don’t see that changing this week. There are rumblings that Arian Foster could come back this week, but, as of writing this Article there isn’t any clear opinion on that yet. If Foster is out again, lock and load Hopkins, take the 15 targets and count your money at the end of the weekend.
Demaryius Thomas
It looks like the Broncos are finally starting to realize that its better to just run the Offense that Peyton Manning has been running for nearly 20 years. Why change what has worked for so long. Denver looks like they are starting to get going again and vs the Vikings, they should be able to control the game on both sides of the ball. Manning, Thomas and Sanders are all in play here.
Julio Jones
Best receiver in the game right now. Leads the league in Targets, Receptions and Yards. Also, on a side note, he’s another Cleveland Browns draft day debacle (6th overall in 2011), my Brownies traded out of the pick and ended up with DT Phil Taylor and QB Brandon Weeden instead… Welp…
Play Julio, win money, its pretty easy
Jordan Matthews (GPP)
Great matchup vs the Redskins, but, there is a chance the game gets canceled because of Hurricane Joaquin. If no Hurricane, play Matthews and some of the Eagles vs a terrible Washington Defense, if there is a Hurricane, avoid everyone from this game.
Larry Fitzgerald
I think everyone forgot just how great Larry Fitzgerald was last year. We didn’t but, allot of other people did. It’s easy to forget how good Fitz and Palmer were early last Season, as Palmer was hurt early in the year. This year, Palmer is back healthy and sure enough, Fitz is a WR1 once again. Plug and play for Fitz for me, as long as his price remains affordable.
Cooper has been arguably the most impressive rookie so far this year outside of Marcus Mariota. Last week, Cooper absolutely had Joe Haden, a 4 time Pro Bowl CB on Skates as he and the Raiders Offense torched the Browns for nearly 500 total yards. With the Bears on the schedule this Week, I think Cooper and the Raiders make for a nice sneaky GPP Team
TE
Jordan Reed
No Hurricane, play him, Yes Hurricane, avoid him. Seriously though, he’s a great play, and he gets allot of targets for the TE position. The Redskins Offense isn’t all that great, but, Reed is a focal point and a favorite of Kirk Cousins
Eric Ebron
Starting to put together some nice fantasy performances. The Lions overall have been dissapointing, but, Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson will get the Offense rolling soon enough. When that happens, having another pass catching threat next to Calvin should really open things up.
Travis Kelce
With Gronk on a bye week, why not roll with Baby Gronk this weekend. Even if you don’t know anything about Football, if you know a guy has the nickname of “Baby Gronk”. This guy is the real deal and is a big time playmaker at the TE Position. If the Chiefs can figure out how to consistently get him the ball, he will be a superstar in the NFL. I like his upside vs the Bengals, who will probably be leading early in this game. The Chiefs will have to pass the ball to hang with the Bengals Offense in this one, and Kelce is their main pass catcher.
Jason Witten
No Dez Bryant, and Weeden doesn’t have many options in Dallas right now. Witten is the only real solid pass catcher on the Cowboys Offense. You can’t expect a monster game from him, but a solid 7 rec and 70 yards should be in order pretty much every week.
