NBA FRIDAY 1/22/16
Pretty large slate tonight, for being a Thursday. Generally we’ll see small 3 Game slates on Thursdays, but tonight
we’re being treated with a nice 5 Game Slate. The Marque Matchup tonight is between the LA Clippers and the Cleveland Cavaliers. After the Cavs got ran out of their own Gym on Monday, they bounced back with an impressive win vs the Brooklyn Nets last night. The Clippers, had lost Blake Griffin for awhile, but, they’ve been on Fire recently without him, winning 10 Straight games heading into the Thursday Night TNT Special. As a Cavs fan myself, I’m really hoping the team can show up this time, on a National Stage vs a top tier Opponent.
SLATE BREAKDOWN
By looking at the Chart above, we can easily see which teams / players we should be targeting this evening.
The Warriors, not shocking, have the highest game score of the evening. There may be solid plays in some of the games with
game scores lower that our target 305, however, I will generally lean towards to players in the high game score games if I feel like
two players are close. This thought process is just the basic starting point of the research each day. Obviously, as news breaks throughout
the day things change. Sometimes, there are players in very low game score games, that become “must players” based on
injury situations and spot starts.
With that being said Be sure to follow us on Facebook , Twitter and Instagram so you never
miss out on any of that late breaking news and lineup changes
POINT GUARDS | Price | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
Stephen Curry | $10,400 | 58.42 | 56.40 | 52.33 | 51.74 | 8.32 |
Russell Westbrook | $10,600 | 56.75 | 48.55 | 51.50 | 52.97 | 14.09 |
Chris Paul | $9,800 | 51.58 | 53.00 | 49.65 | 42.22 | 13.42 |
Kemba Walker | $8,100 | 46.00 | 43.95 | 39.35 | 37.00 | 21.58 |
Kyle Lowry | $8,600 | 45.50 | 45.80 | 44.48 | 42.59 | 8.00 |
Isaiah Thomas | $7,800 | 41.00 | 38.30 | 40.20 | 37.90 | 6.64 |
Isaiah Thomas – Has been on fire recently, scoring 41 DK FP per game in his last 3. Tonight, he may be a little sneaky, as a matchup with the Bulls will appear to be somewhat difficult. However, he does qualify, in my system with a DRS Game Score of 307. While everyone else will be on the Miami Heat value players tonight, I’ll take my chances with a much more proven player in Thomas.
Kyle Lowery – I mentioned a few days ago, that Lowry is one of my favorite cash game point guards. His price is getting up there a bit now with his recent production. But in my opinion, he’s worth it. He’s very consistent, and you know he’s going to have the ball in his hands more than any other player on the court. I would probably lean more towards Thomas tonight, because of the Heat injury issues and the possible blowout.
SHOOTING GUARDS | Price | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
James Harden | $10,000 | 52.92 | 47.25 | 44.50 | 49.09 | 19.96 |
DeMar DeRozan | $8,000 | 42.92 | 42.70 | 38.85 | 36.83 | 7.24 |
Victor Oladipo | $7,100 | 40.67 | 39.00 | 29.70 | 29.12 | 7.08 |
Khris Middleton | $7,000 | 39.42 | 39.60 | 35.68 | 30.56 | 5.30 |
JJ Redick | $5,700 | 34.00 | 28.00 | 27.38 | 23.03 | 12.86 |
Khris Middleton – This guy is becoming a star before our very eyes. Super consistent, and just an all around solid player. Close to 40 DK FP the last 5 games, and clearly more involved in the Offense now, than he was earlier in the Season. With a DRS Game Score of 305 it should be a good spot for him tonight vs the Uptempo Houston Rockets.
SMALL FORWARD | Price | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
Kevin Durant | $9,700 | 49.92 | 48.45 | 48.38 | 47.46 | 9.09 |
Gordon Hayward | $7,500 | 45.25 | 43.65 | 38.58 | 34.00 | 11.61 |
Paul George | $9,000 | 40.67 | 40.05 | 42.45 | 43.31 | 3.22 |
Giannis Antetokounmpo | $7,200 | 40.58 | 44.50 | 35.43 | 32.40 | 12.17 |
Carmelo Anthony | $8,300 | 39.17 | 43.10 | 42.00 | 39.97 | 10.50 |
Carmelo Anthony – Call me crazy, and maybe I read too much into these things from time to time, but, there’s just something that draws me toward Carmelo Anthony, every time he’s got a Home game at MSG on a Friday Night. The Clippers are coming to town after a tough loss to the Cavaliers last night. He doesn’t fit into my 305 Game Score target, and I don’t know if the Knicks have enough firepower to beat the Clippers, but, I expect Melo to put on a show for the home crowd Friday Night.
Kevin Durant – He’s putting up MVP worthy numbers this year, but he’s not getting the love of Steph Curry and Draymond Green out West. I’m sure that doesn’t make KD too happy, and tonight he gets to take on the Mavs who don’t really have an answer for him athletically (who does). With a 307 Game Score for OKC, I think they get the job done tonight.
POWER FORWARD | Price | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
Draymond Green | $9,100 | 36.67 | 37.65 | 46.33 | 43.02 | 8.86 |
Kristaps Porzingis | $7,300 | 35.92 | 38.45 | 35.60 | 31.49 | 8.13 |
Dirk Nowitzki | $6,700 | 32.08 | 35.25 | 33.45 | 32.18 | 13.48 |
Chris Bosh | $7,600 | 29.58 | 31.90 | 35.65 | 35.89 | 4.34 |
Draymond Green – With the highest game score of the night by far (317) I love Draymond Green tonight. You can pretty much lock this guy in for 35-45 DK FP every single game, with the potential for 60+ any night. The only real concern I have, whenever I roster any of the Warriors players is how many minutes they will get. Since they’ve been blowing out nearly every opponent, most of their starters have been resting for most of the 4th quarters. I think Draymond has a great game tonight, and, call me crazy, but I think Indiana might keep this one closer than most people think.
Chris Bosh – Everyone is out tonight for the Heat. No, litterally, I mean they are missing 4 of their 5 starters. The only starter, playing tonight is Bosh. I’m all over him, because I feel like every possession is going to have to go through him. There is an extreme risk of a blowout in this spot, as Toronto has been playing great basketball, but, I still like Bosh because of the sheer volume he should see tonight.
CENTER | Price | 3g | 5g | 10g | FULL | 5gStdev |
Rudy Gobert | $6,400 | 40.33 | 33.10 | 30.35 | 30.38 | 13.43 |
Nikola Vucevic | $7,500 | 36.75 | 39.60 | 32.10 | 34.86 | 6.35 |
Pau Gasol | $8,400 | 36.67 | 37.50 | 40.63 | 39.92 | 17.94 |
Greg Monroe | $7,000 | 36.17 | 37.80 | 36.80 | 35.24 | 3.75 |
Greg Monroe – Rostering big men this year vs the Rockets has really done us well so far. The Rockets play at a very high pace and they don’t really focus too much on the Defensive end of the floor. Dwight Howard is a little banged up and Monroe has been playing solid over his last 10 games.
Nikola Vucevic – The game score isn’t pretty, only sitting at 297 but, I really like Vucevic tonight vs the undersized Hornets. Vuc has been on fire as of late, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.
